
ArmInfo. On July 9, the official ceremony to hand over humanitarian aid provided to Lebanon by the Armenian government took place at the port of Beirut, as reported by the press service of the RA MFA.
According to the report, the official handover ceremony was attended by RA Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan, Secretary General of the High Relief Committee of the Government of the Republic of Lebanon General Bassam Nabulsi, members of the Lebanese National Assembly, and representatives from other relevant Lebanese state bodies.
In his speech, Vahan Kostanyan reaffirmed Armenia's solidarity with friendly Lebanon and the Lebanese people, emphasizing that this humanitarian aid is another testament to the historical friendship, mutual trust, and solidarity that unites the two peoples. He noted that Armenia is ready to continue its contribution to initiatives aimed at addressing the humanitarian problems in Lebanon.
For his part, General Bassam Nabulsi expressed gratitude to the Armenian government for the support and solidarity shown to Lebanon during this difficult period, emphasizing that this support is highly appreciated by both the Lebanese government and the people.
The humanitarian aid provided by Armenia, which includes about 80 tons of medicine and medical supplies, food, as well as other essential goods, crossed the Margara checkpoint on the Armenia-Turkey state border and was transported to Lebanon by land via Turkey.
