ArmInfo. The Prosecutor's Office is demanding the return to the Republic of Armenia of a specially protected natural area illegally owned by former RA Minister of Environment Aram Harutyunyan, as reported by the press service of the RA Prosecutor General's Office.
According to the source, the Anti-Corruption Court has accepted for review the Prosecutor General's Office's claim against the Dilijan community, Artur Arshakyan, and former Minister of Environment Aram Harutyunyan, seeking to invalidate the auction held on October 12, 2012, for a 0.8-hectare land plot located at 29/24 Maxim Gorky Street in Dilijan. The agency also demands that the real estate purchase and sale agreement signed between Artur Arshakyan and Aram Harutyunyan on June 20, 2017, be declared invalid and that the consequences of the invalidity be applied, including the return of the 0.8-hectare land plot illegally owned by Aram Harutyunyan to the Dilijan community.
Additionally, a measure was taken to ensure the defense of the claim, and the defendant, Aram Harutyunyan, is prohibited from taking any actions that could lead to a change in the actual or legal status of the land plot specified in the claim.
During the investigation, the Prosecutor General's Office determined that the 0.8-hectare land plot is included in the list of restrictions under Article 60 of the Land Code, which prohibits the alienation of land designated as "specially protected natural areas."
