ArmInfo. The Azerbaijani side has completed its part of the work to finalize the peace agreement. Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov announced this in a conversation with journalists.
"The text of the peace agreement has already been initialed and is open to the public. The Azerbaijani side's approach to this issue is principled. President Ilham Aliyev has voiced the state's official position. Our expectation is that territorial claims against Azerbaijan will be removed from the Armenian constitution. After that, the peace agreement can be signed," Bayramov stated, while remaining silent about the territorial claims contained in the Azerbaijani constitution against all of its neighbors. He also confirmed that border delimitation between Azerbaijan and Armenia is ongoing.
"The delimitation process will continue from north to south. The process will be implemented, and the issues of exclave villages will be resolved," the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister said, according to media reports.
He also said they had received information that work is underway on a road and rail project as part of the "Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity," which passes through Armenia. "The United States also supports this. Negotiations on this matter are ongoing between the United States and Armenia.
However, the entry and exit points of TRIPP are located on Azerbaijani territory. Therefore, our US partners are keeping us informed. The promises they made to us are that the process is ongoing, and the document preparation stage is currently underway," he said.
