ArmInfo. The Prosecutor's Office is demanding the return of residential buildings and structures illegally owned by Multi Group LLC in the coastal area of Lake Sevan to the Republic of Armenia. This was stated in a statement by the supervisory body.
The statement notes that the Anti-Corruption Court has accepted for consideration the Prosecutor General's Office's claim against Beglu CJSC, the State Property Management Committee, Gagik Tsarukyan, Multi Group LLC, and the Sevan National Park State Non-Commercial Organization (SNCO) to invalidate the agreement of November 29, 1996.
Specifically, the Prosecutor General's Office is demanding that the state registration of title based on the purchase and sale agreement for a 1.21-hectare land plot and house No. 7, measuring 60 square meters, the real estate purchase and sale agreement signed between Beglu CJSC and Gagik Tsarukyan on September 8, 2000, and the agreement of January 12, 2001 be declared invalid. The supervisory authority is also demanding that the lease agreement signed between SNCO and MULTI GROUP LLC on November 25, 2025, under registration number No. 4462, and the state registration of title, which took place on November 28, 2025, be declared invalid.
Following the demands of the General Prosecutor's Office, a 0.29114-hectare land plot, the buildings and structures erected on it, namely residential buildings with an area of 425.12 square meters, a pier with an area of 23.04 square meters, and a fence with an area of 100.8 square meters, will be returned to the ownership of the Republic of Armenia.
The Anti-Corruption Court granted the Prosecutor's Office's motion to apply a measure to secure the claim: the defendant is prohibited from taking any actions that could lead to a change in the ownership of the real estate specified in the claim or a change in its actual status.
As a reminder, the previous day, the Yerevan Criminal Court of Primary Instance sentenced Gagik Tsarukyan, the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party and businessman, to two months' detention. On the evening of July 7, the Investigative Committee of Armenia released footage of Gagik Tsarukyan's arrest, which shows National Security Service officers violently detaining the politician and forcing him to the floor when he offered no resistance. The footage released by the Armenian Investigative Committee provoked a negative reaction in Armenian society. Most citizens expressed outrage at the manner in which the 70-year-old politician, who is accused of economic crimes, was detained. Experts called these actions against the politician and businessman a political reprisal that had nothing to do with justice.
