Baku Court of Appeals holds another hearing on appeals filed by illegally detained Armenian PoWs

ArmInfo. On June 7, the Baku Court of Appeals continued its "hearing" the appeals filed by illegally detained Armenian prisoners of war, as reported by  Azerbaijani media.

It was noted that defense lawyers for defendant Arkadi Ghukasyan  presented their arguments, requesting that the court overturn the  verdict against him and render a verdict of acquittal. During the  "hearing", David Babayan, who was sentenced to life imprisonment in  February, reiterated his plea of not guilty and maintained his  position that the charges brought against him are unfounded. The next  court "hearing" is scheduled for July 10.
