ArmInfo. As a result of actions taken by the Prosecutor's Office in the second quarter of 2026, over 30 million drams in damages were recovered from companies involved in the illegal exploitation of subsoil in the Ararat Region.
According to the press service of the oversight body, three criminal cases were initiated during this period regarding facts of various companies in the Ararat Region violating the Republic of Armenia's legislation on subsoil conservation and use, as well as clear instances of land degradation.
Within the framework of criminal proceedings, prosecutors initiated public criminal cases, and as a result of the Prosecutor's Office's actions, a total of 30,121,000 drams in damages caused to the state and communities was recovered.
