ArmInfo. The unlawful actions of the Armenian authorities are continue, as stated by Samvel Karapetyan, leader of the Strong Armenia party, to journalists on July 7. He was commenting on the criminal prosecution of businessman Gagik Tsarukyan, leader of the Prosperous Armenia party.
According to Samvel Karapetyan, this criminal prosecution could further deteriorate the climate for attracting investments. As the leader of "Strong Armenia" noted, there have been no significant investments in Armenia in recent years. "The authorities do not see the danger in this, although I personally see it. Tsarukyan is one of the main investors," he head of the Tashir Group of Companies noted.
Addressing the internal political situation in the country and the actions of the opposition, Karapetyan emphasized that the fight against lawlessness will continue, including through street protests, which will inevitably take place and when they do, it will be once and for all. The parliamentary opposition has already issued a statement on this matter, and responses from other opposition political forces are expected and are already arriving. When the opportune moment arises, the appropriate actions will commence. "We will move forward step by step, and we will certainly achieve our set goal," Samvel Karapetyan said, adding that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will not be able to suppress anything, as he did not even receive the percentage of votes that would have ensured his legitimacy.
Nevertheless, the opposition will seek a change of government through legal methods in order to prevent any possible turmoilKarapetyan noted that work in the National Assembly will also be aimed at removing the current government. At the same time, given the difficulties faced by farmers and citizens of the country, the party will seek mechanisms to assist them to the best of its ability.
