ArmInfo. Armenia has lost the attributes of independent statehood and has effectively come under external control, according to Levon Zurabyan, Deputy Chairman of the Armenian National Congress (ANC), formerly the first president of Armenia, Levon Ter-Petrosyan.
"The most accurate description of the current situation in Armenia is that the republic has completely come under the control of external forces. Armenia has lost the characteristics of an independent state. From now on, the outside world has its own control over Armenia, represented by the puppet Nikol Pashinyan, installed in power in Armenia through election fraud," Zurabyan wrote on his Facebook page.
The politician is convinced that "the will of external masters and Pashinyan's personal power are now synonymous." "What stems from the interests of external masters also stems from the interests of maintaining his personal power, and vice versa," the ANC deputy chairman concluded.
As a reminder, the Armenian National Congress participated in the 2026 parliamentary elections in Armenia under the leadership of Levon Zurabyan, but failed to pass the required 4% threshold for parliamentary representation.
