


ArmInfo. The detention of Republican Party Vice Chairman Armen Ashotyan has been extended for another month. This was announced by lawyer Ruben Melikyan.
He recalled that the investigative body filed a motion to extend the detention of political prisoner Armen Ashotyan by two months. The motion was considered today by the Anti-Corruption Court.
Armen Ashotyan was detained on June 5, and the court sentenced him to one month of pretrial detention. According to the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, former Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia Armen Ashhotyan, in collusion with six individuals, abused his official position and assisted former Minister of Finance Gagik Khachatryan and his son Artyom Khachatryan in acquiring property that was not subject to alienation.
