Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Georgia are working on the creation of a unified long-term tariff model within the development of the Middle Corridor, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said during a meeting with Eduard Sigrist, Senior Vice President of Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC).
According to the President of Kazakhstan, alongside the development of a unified tariff model, the parties are implementing a number of major infrastructure projects. These include the expansion of the Caspian Sea cargo vessel fleet, joint dredging operations with Azerbaijan, and the modernization of the Kuryk port.
At a meeting with MSC management, prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields of transport and logistics were discussed. Particular attention was paid to increasing the level of containerization, which will significantly increase cargo turnover.
