ArmInfo. The Prosecutor General's Office has sent a petition to the Central Electoral Commission to strip the leader of the Prosperous Armenia party, Gagik Tsarukyan, of his immunity and to permit the opening of a criminal case against him. This information was confirmed by the oversight authority.
According to Armenian media, the petition will most likely be considered after the Constitutional Court's decision, since the commission is currently dealing with an appeal lodged with the Constitutional Court by opposition forces.
