ArmInfo. Strong Armenia bloc board member Narek Karapetyan called on citizens who voted for their political force in the latest parliamentary elections to gather at 1:00 PM at Tashir Arena on June 26 and decide together on their next steps.
As Karapetyan recalled in a video message posted on his Facebook page, when they founded the "Our Way" movement a year ago, they had only a few dozen supporters. "Today, 340,000 people showed their trust in us, and we are obligated to justify that trust. In two days, on Friday at 1:00 PM, we plan to organize a meeting with Armenian citizens who voted for our 'Strong Armenia' bloc in the elections. Together, we must resolve several issues, such as whether or not we should run for parliament," noted the bloc council member.
In addition, he said, they intend to discuss future paths. "I believe this will be a very interesting and emotional discussion, which will also be productive in terms of its information content. After that, we intend to head to the Constitutional Court of Armenia, where a hearing on election fraud will be held that day. We want to protect the votes of our citizens," Karapetyan concluded.
As a reminder, on June 19, seven political forces filed applications with the Constitutional Court of Armenia demanding that the results of the June 7 parliamentary elections be declared invalid. On June 21, the Constitutional Court decided to consolidate all cases into one proceeding. The matter will be heard in court on June 26.
