


ArmInfo. The Civil Contract party, Armenia's ruling party, has completed the self-nomination process for candidates for the position of Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.
According to Armenian media, current Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan, Vice Speaker Ruben Rubinyan, and ruling faction leader Hayk Konjoryan have put forward their candidacies for the position. However, the exact date for the internal party vote on all three candidates has not yet been determined, nor has the format-open or secret-been decided. Meanwhile, information is actively circulating in the Armenian segment of social media that Alen Simonyan will be nominated for the post of President of the Republic of Armenia to replace Vahagn Khachaturyan, who will become the chief adviser to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
