ArmInfo. Armenian Environment Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan is participating in the London Climate Action Week (LCAW) World Congress, which is taking place from June 20 to 28.
LCAW is considered one of the most influential international platforms in climate policy, finance, and innovation, bringing together political leaders, representatives of international organizations, financial institutions, research centers, and the private sector. During the visit, the Minister will participate in the second annual conference on the state of climate policy, organized by the international think tank E3G, as well as in a number of high-level forums, summits, and thematic discussions.
Specifically, participation is planned in the Climate Innovation Forum, Nature Day events, the Opportunities Summit, and discussions on climate finance, achieving carbon neutrality, enhancing climate resilience, and reducing risks.
The program also includes events on the climate-health nexus, climate and development finance, and climate governance.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Environment, Climate Action Week in London provides Armenia with an opportunity to highlight its climate agenda internationally, expand cooperation with international partners, and promote financial, technological, and political support for environmental and climate initiatives.
