During the investigation of the criminal case initiated by the Anti-Corruption Committee, it was revealed that several residents of the Shirak region were paid electoral bribes of varying amounts to vote for the Armenia bloc, as well as to recruit individuals willing to vote in exchange for electoral bribes.
As reported by the committee's press service, based on measures taken by the RA Anti-Corruption Committee and the RA National Security Service, during an investigation initiated by the Anti-Corruption Committee, factual information was uncovered indicating that candidates for the RA National Assembly from the "Armenia" bloc, along with their supporters and other individuals, offered electoral bribes of varying amounts to several residents of the Shirak region in exchange for voting for the bloc in the National Assembly elections. They also recruited individuals willing to vote for the bloc in exchange for electoral bribes. A number of individuals have been detained in connection with the incident, and searches and other procedural actions have been conducted as part of the criminal investigation initiated by the RA Anti- Corruption Committee," the statement reads.
