ArmInfo.Kamo Grigoryan, the son of Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) candidate Martun Grigoryan, has been arrested for two months.
According to Armenian media, he was detained after turning himself in to the investigative body along with his lawyer. Prior to this, he had been wanted for a year. "He is charged under Article 195, Part 2, Clause 5 of the Criminal Code of Armenia (physical coercion, beating, or other violent actions by a group of persons - ed.), Article 297, Part 3 (hooliganism - ed.), and Article 334, Part 1 (illegal possession of weapons - ed.)," the statement reads.
Furthermore, it is reported that he has been placed under a visitation restriction.
As a reminder, in March 2025, Martun Grigoryan and his sons, Kamo and Karen, were detained "in connection with the case of giving and receiving election bribes, as well as violating the ban on charitable donations during the Gyumri elections." They were released from the courtroom on March 28. At that time, the court placed Kamo Grigoryan under administrative supervision and prohibited him from leaving his apartment between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m.
