ArmInfo. The applications of several political forces challenging the results of the parliamentary elections will be heard at a session of the Constitutional Court of Armenia on June 26, 2026. The court's press service reported this. The decision was made the day before at a working session of the Constitutional Court.
According to the source, the court has accepted for consideration the cases filed by the Strong Armenia bloc of parties, the Wings of Unity party, the Democracy, Law, Order party of the Prosperous Armenia party, the Union of Democracy Defenders for the Republic party, the Armenia bloc of parties, and the New Force party. The appeal concerns a dispute over the June 14, 2026, decision of the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Armenia "On Summing Up the Results of the Regular Elections to the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on June 7, 2026."
Given that these cases pertain to the same issue, in accordance with Article 41 of the Law "On the Constitutional Court," they have been combined and will be heard at a single court session, scheduled for June 26, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Constitutional Court Judge Edgar Shatiryan has been appointed rapporteur on the case, and the combined case will be heard orally.
According to the final results of the Central Electoral Commission, published on June 14, only three political forces have entered the new parliament. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's ruling Civil Contract Party received 64 seats, allowing it to independently form a government without a coalition agreement. The Strong Armenia and Armenia blocs received 29 and 12 seats, respectively. Despite participating in the elections, the Prosperous Armenia Party failed to overcome the 4% threshold and will not be elected to the new parliament. This outcome prompted the opposition to file a mass lawsuit.
