ArmInfo. On June 19, 2026, a representative of the "Strong Armenia" bloc of parties filed an application with the Constitutional Court challenging the Central Electoral Commission's decision on the results of the June 7, 2026, elections to the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.
The Constitutional Court decides on the admissibility of an application at a procedural hearing within two days of its filing. This is stated in a statement by the CC.
According to the source, if the application is accepted for consideration, a rapporteur judge is appointed, who prepares the case for trial. Court hearings on disputes concerning the results of the elections to the National Assembly are conducted orally. The Constitutional Court is obligated to review the case and issue a decision no later than 15 days after the date of filing the application.
Earlier today, it was reported that Aram Vardevanyan, a representative of the "Strong Armenia" bloc, filed a petition with the Constitutional Court of Armenia to annul the results of the June 7 National Assembly elections. Marianna Ghahramanyan, press secretary for Samvel Karapetyan's "Strong Armenia" bloc, announced this. "The bloc, based on widespread and organized violations of the electoral process orchestrated by the authorities, demands that the decision of the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Armenia dated June 14, 2026, 'On the Results of the National Assembly Elections of June 7, 2026,' be annulled and that the election results be declared invalid or a runoff be called," the bloc's spokesperson stated.
