ArmInfo. Edward Asryan, Deputy Minister of Defense of Armenia and Commander of the Armed Forces, received Claudia Busch, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Armenia.
According to the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Defense, Claudia Busch, on behalf of the Federal Government of Germany, donated 16 snowmobiles to the Ministry of Defense to modernize the technical equipment of the Armenian Armed Forces and develop their capabilities.
Busch noted that Armenia and Germany are bound by close ties, adding that bilateral relations have strengthened since 2025 thanks to the strategic partnership program signed by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and German Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
It is noted that the snowmobiles will be used in high-mountain conditions for transporting personnel and small, lightweight cargo. Currently, with the support of specialists from Germany, Armenian Armed Forces personnel are undergoing training on how to operate the snowmobiles.
