


ArmInfo. In preparation for participation in international peacekeeping missions, the Eagle Partner 2026 military exercises began on June 17 at the Zar training center, as reported by the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Defense.
The ministry reported that Artur Yeroyan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, welcomed the exercise participants.
The exercises involve personnel from: the Peacekeeping Brigade of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia; US land forces in Europe and Africa; the Kansas National Guard; the Armed Forces of France and the Armed Forces of Greece. The main objectives of the exercises are to enhance the interoperability of units participating in international peacekeeping missions, exchange best practices in command and control and tactical communications, and strengthen the combat readiness of Armenia's peacekeeping units.
The US Embassy in Armenia also announced the start of the exercises, stating that they will be held in Armenia from June 17 to 25.
"Eagle Partner 2026 has officially launched. Held in Armenia from June 17-25, this fourth annual exercise builds on longstanding U.S.-Armenia defense cooperation and supports preparation for international peacekeeping operations. This year, Eagle Partner expands with the participation of service members from the Armed Forces of the French Republic and the Hellenic Republic, alongside the Armenian Armed Forces Peacekeeping Brigade, U.S. Army Europe and Africa, and the Kansas National Guard. Through joint multilateral training, Eagle Partner 2026 strengthens interoperability, supports the exchange of best practices, and enhances peacekeeping readiness."
