RPA: Official results of the so-called June 7 elections are null and  void; they do not reflect the will of the Armenian people

ArmInfo.Parliamentary elections did not take place in Armenia on June 7, 2026. Instead, what occurred was a systematic falsification of the vote—a  pre-planned criminal act, orchestrated by a centralized leadership  and facilitated by the direct intervention of the head of the regime,  aimed at usurping the will of the people. This statement was issued  by the Executive Body of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), led  by the third president, Serzh Sargsyan.

"Our party has consistently and firmly maintained that these  elections were prepared under conditions that fundamentally deprived  the electoral process of its free, fair, and competitive nature.  Based on this conviction, the Republican Party chose not to lend  legitimacy to a process whose outcome was predetermined not by the  will of the people, but by the pressure of the administrative  apparatus. Nikol Pashinyan's administration cannot tolerate free and  fair elections, as they recognize that such elections would result in  their defeat. Election day and the preceding period have fully  validated our warnings," the RPA stated.

The party emphasized its alignment with the assessments contained in  the June 14 joint statement issued by the opposition forces that  participated in the elections.

The statement further details that the widespread abuse of  administrative resources, the intimidation of state and municipal  employees, the political persecution and arrest of opposition  figures, the deliberate paralysis of opposition headquarters, the  weaponization of state and pro-government media, and the blatant  distortion of voting results at polling stations are all integral  components of a centrally managed criminal scheme.

"This is not a series of isolated incidents, but systemic electoral  fraud executed by the machinery of the state. This criminal agenda  was brought to fruition by the Central Election Commission (CEC). On  June 14, the CEC committed a flagrant usurpation of the 3/5 majority  in the National Assembly in favor of the 'Civil Contract' party by  illegally refusing to organize repeat elections at three polling  stations, thereby depriving the 'Prosperous Armenia' party of the  opportunity to cross the electoral threshold. The resulting official  data does not reflect the actual will of the voters; it is an overt  seizure of power by the 'Civil Contract' party," the RPA Executive  Body asserted.

The party concluded that all state institutions—including the law  enforcement system, the Central Election Commission, and other  allegedly independent bodies—have been and continue to be used  exclusively to serve Nikol Pashinyan's political survival,  deliberately obstructing the legal conditions necessary for  conducting truly democratic elections.

"The Republican Party (RPA) officially declares the results of the  June 7 elections to be fraudulent, null, and void, as they do not  reflect the will of the Armenian people. Consequently, the resulting  National Assembly is not a representative body but a collection of  usurped mandates lacking democratic legitimacy.  Therefore, the  Republican Party does not recognize either this assembly or the  government it has formed as a legitimate expression of the  electorate's will.

The political and legal responsibility for plunging the nation into a  profound internal crisis—and for all ensuing consequences—lies  directly with Nikol Pashinyan. In his effort to retain power at any  cost, he has violated the citizens' constitutional right to vote and  jeopardized the very foundations of Armenian statehood.

The Republican Party urges all responsible political forces and every  citizen to set aside differences and unite toward a singular goal: to  restore the people's mandate and defend Armenia's statehood. We  remain committed to an uncompromising, consistent, and lawful  struggle, grounded in constitutional and democratic principles, to  protect the electoral rights of citizens, the interests of the  Republic, and our fundamental democratic values.

Fraudulent elections cannot and will not serve as a legitimate source  of power. The Republic remains our highest value."
