ArmInfo. The experience of the Nordic countries demonstrates that a sustainable and competitive state develops not only thanks to economic progress, but also to respect for human dignity and a high level of public trust. This was stated by Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan at an event dedicated to the national holidays of the Nordic countries, which was held as part of the Nordic Days festival.
He emphasized that these principles have ensured the stable development and prosperity of this region and have become an example for the international community.
Grigoryan noted that such events provide an opportunity to reiterate the importance of the ideas and principles on which the Nordic countries are founded, namely democracy, human rights, the rule of law, social solidarity, as well as a special attention to education and innovation. "We highly value the contribution of the Nordic countries to strengthening global peace, sustainable development, and international cooperation. This experience is particularly significant in the face of modern challenges, when close cooperation between states is needed more than ever," the Deputy Prime Minister said.
He noted with satisfaction that friendly relations have developed between Armenia and the Nordic countries, based on mutual respect, trust, and shared values. "We are confident that these ties will continue to develop, promoting the expansion of economic, cultural, educational, and scientific cooperation," Grigoryan said.
According to him, the Armenian government also highly values the consistent support of the Nordic countries in deepening the partnership between Armenia and the European Union, as well as in advancing the reforms being implemented in the country.
