Scientific Intelligentsia – A Strategic Resource for the Sustainable Development of Turkmenistan

As a sign of the great attention given at the state level to the development of science and education, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has been elected an academician of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan in the fields of economics and political science and has also been awarded the academic title of professor in economic and political disciplines. This serves as an important benchmark for domestic scholars, emphasizing the significance of scientific work and the role of intellectual potential in the development of the state.

Today, a ceremonial presentation of diplomas was also held at the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan for researchers who were awarded the academic degrees of Doctor of Sciences and Candidate of Sciences. This event became a notable milestone among the activities of the year being held under the motto “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses” and an important part of the program dedicated to Science Day, celebrated annually in the country on June 12. The ceremony highlighted the high status of scientific activity and recognized the achievements of researchers who have made a significant contribution to the development of the national scientific school.
