
ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan continues to receive congratulations on the victory of his Civil Contract party in the 2026 parliamentary elections.
The message from European Council President Antonio Costa reads, in part: "The Armenian people voted for a future built on peace, stability, and closer cooperation with their neighbors and the world. I congratulate Nikol Pashinyan on his election results. You can be proud of your role in strengthening Armenia's resilience, stability, and prosperity. Together, the EU and Armenia are strengthening people-to- people ties and creating new opportunities in energy, trade, and digitalization. Our strong partnership is an investment in a more peaceful and prosperous future for the entire region." European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen also congratulated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on his victory, stating: "Dear Nikol Pashinyan, I congratulate you on your election victory. The spirit of the Velvet Revolution you led in 2018 is alive and well. We highly value our partnership with democratic Armenia, which is moving ever closer to Europe. Armenia can count on us."
Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal also congratulated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, stating: "Armenia continues to choose Europe, and Estonia is proud to support your European aspirations. I look forward to working together on reforms, innovation, and a more secure Europe, as well as strengthening the partnership between our countries."
Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics, congratulating Pashinyan on his victory, stated: "Congratulations, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, on your resounding election victory." Armenia has chosen its own democratic path, despite threats and intimidation. Latvia stands firmly by your side and supports closer relations between Armenia and the European Union.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also congratulated Pashinyan, stating: "I congratulate Armenia on holding democratic and free elections, and Nikol Pashinyan on his victory. This is also a victory for Armenia's sovereignty, your independence, and your right to live as you wish. We wish you success.
Ukraine is ready to expand our cooperation, and now is the time for the European Union to provide genuine support to Armenia and do everything necessary to ensure that people feel their lives have been improved by relations with Europe. This is a test for the European Union. It is important not to waste time or miss opportunities."
