RA Ministry of Internal Affairs reports 619 calls about possible  violations during parliamentary elections

ArmInfo.  As of 10:00 AM on June 8, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) Operations Center, which dialed 112 and the 87-67 hotline, received 619 calls about possible violations during voting in the parliamentary elections in Armenia, both informational and subject to investigation.

The ministry's press service told ArmInfo that the following were  recorded: 52 cases of repeat voting, 27 cases of violations of the  secrecy of the ballot, 9 cases of obstruction of the exercise of  electoral rights, 4 cases of bribery, 2 cases of obstruction of the  electoral process, 1 case of carrying a bladed weapon, hooliganism,  and physical violence at a polling station. "All materials on these  cases have been transferred to the preliminary investigation agency.  18 individuals have been arrested. 322 reports of alleged violations  are under review," the ministry added.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs also presented the work carried out  by the Migration and Citizenship Service of the Ministry of Internal  Affairs. According to the source, 2,435 people applied for inclusion  on the supplementary voter lists, 1,172 of whom received  certificates. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 1,221  people received temporary identity cards (Form 9) to participate in  the elections. "The call center of the Migration and Citizenship  Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (84-22) received 1,725  calls regarding the organization and conduct of the elections.  Consultations were provided to 1,745 citizens at the Migration and  Citizenship Service offices and at the Ministry of Internal Affairs  mobile offices," the ministry concluded.

As a reminder, the regular parliamentary elections were held in  Armenia on June 7, 2026. According to preliminary data from the  Central Election Commission of Armenia, based on the vote count from  all 2,005 polling stations, Nikol Pashinyan's ruling Civil Contract  party received 49.81% or 727,160 votes, Samvel Karapetyan's Strong  Armenia bloc received 23.29% or 340,062 votes, second president  Robert Kocharyan's Armenia bloc received 9.94% or 145,097 votes, and  businessman Gagik Tsarukyan's Prosperous Armenia party received 4% or  58,368 votes. The remaining candidates' results fell below the  required threshold of 4% for parties and 8-10% for blocs. Voter  turnout was 58.97%. A total of 1,476,597 citizens voted in the  elections nationwide, out of approximately 2,505,228 eligible voters.  It should be noted that on election day, from early morning,  observers and journalists reported numerous violations in the  organization of the vote by the ruling party.
