


ArmInfo. The Central Election Commission of Armenia presented preliminary vote count data from all 2,005 polling stations, according to which Nikol Pashinyan's ruling Civil Contract party received 49.81% or 727,160 votes.
According to the CEC's online scoreboard, Samvel Karapetyan's Strong Armenia bloc received 23.29% or 340,062 votes, second president Robert Kocharyan's Armenia bloc received 9.94% or 145,097 votes, and businessman Gagik Tsarukyan's Prosperous Armenia party received 4% or 58,368 votes. The remaining candidates scored below the required threshold of 4% for parties and 8-10% for blocs. Turnout in the elections was 58.97%. A total of 1,476,597 citizens voted in the elections nationwide, out of approximately 2,505,228 eligible voters.
In the previous snap parliamentary elections of Armenia, held on June 20, 2021, the turnout was 49.41%, or 1,281,911 voters out of 2,593,572 eligible voters.
Thus, Pashinyan's party has the opportunity to single-handedly form the country's government by securing a majority of seats in the Armenian parliament. He solemnly announced this in the dead of night, when data from only about 10% of polling stations had been processed.
