ArmInfo. Since early morning, security forces have been carrying out numerous attacks on the Prosperous Armenia Party election headquarters, as stated by Iveta Tonoyan, the party spokesperson, at a briefing on June 7.
According to her, these reports are coming from various locations, where many representatives of the political party's regional structures are being detained and arrested. "Total attacks have begun on Prosperous Armenia's territorial structures, headquarters, and their representatives, who are being charged with fabricated charges. They are being detained en masse on clearly fabricated charges," Tonoyan noted, adding that the developing situation was predictable for the political force. She emphasized that while such behavior by the authorities toward opposition representatives had become traditional throughout the entire election campaign, the fact that these actions are taking place on election day defies logic.
Tonoyan noted that alerts regarding numerous violations are being received from various polling stations: attempts to remove ballots, disruptions to the voting process itself, and the placement of campaign posters near polling stations, which violates current legislation. Specifically, posters and leaflets directed against the leaders of the three opposition forces have been put up and scattered near various polling stations. The party's rapid response teams are following up on these alerts to document all violations during the electoral process.
Tonoyan also urged citizens to call 010 600 601 if they detect any violations and report them to the rapid response team. She noted that these actions are aimed at paralyzing the electoral process and hindering the free expression of the will of citizens. "The only way to counter these actions is through people's active participation in the electoral process, and I urge everyone to take an active part in it," the Prosperous Armenia Party spokesperson said.
