"Day of Silence" in Armenia one day ahead of Parliamentary elections

ArmInfo.  In Armenia, the "Day of Silence" officially takes effect on June 6 at 00:00 local time.

Consequently, strict restrictions on pre-election campaigning will be  enforced throughout the day for all media outlets as well as all  political forces participating in the electoral process. Under these  regulations, public speeches, campaign events, the distribution of  promotional materials, and the broadcasting of debates, interviews,  or campaign advertisements by contesting political entities are  strictly prohibited.  This restriction is mandated in compliance with  the Electoral Code of Armenia. The "Day of Silence" is established to  provide eligible Armenian voters with the necessary time to reflect  and make an informed decision ahead of polling day.
