ArmInfo. In Armenia, only about a third of respondents plan to vote for Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's ruling Civil Contract party in the country's parliamentary elections, scheduled for June 7. This is according to data from the "Wrong Blue" (Ne Pravilny Siniy) poll conducted by the MPG consulting company.
When asked to specify who they would vote for on June 7, 32.4% of respondents indicated Pashinyan's party, 16.4% backed businessman Samvel Karapetyan's "Strong Armenia" bloc, 15.2% supported the "Armenia" bloc of the second president, Robert Kocharyan, 8.8% favored businessman Gagik Tsarukyan's "Prosperous Armenia" party, and 6.2% chose the "Wings of Unity" party led by former Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan. The remaining political forces did not pass the 4% electoral threshold. Meanwhile, 4.2% refused to answer the question, and another 2.1% found it difficult to answer.
Aram Navasardyan, Director of MPG LLC a full member of the Gallup International Association in Armenia presented the poll results and noted that if the four opposition forces poised to enter parliament were to form a coalition, they could take power in the country. Combined, they would secure the support of 46.6% of voters, which is nearly 15% more than Pashinyan's party.
When asked whether they would vote in the June parliamentary elections, 65.4% of respondents said "definitely yes," 11.3% said they would "likely vote," 4.7% said they would "likely not vote," 9.3% said "definitely no," and another 9.2% found it difficult to answer.
