Former Armenian Minister of Transport and Communications detained

ArmInfo. Gagik Beglaryan, the former Minister of Transport and Communication of the Republic of Armenia and former Mayor of Yerevan, has been detained. This information has been confirmed by the Anti-Corruption Committee.

According to the source, Beglaryan was arrested as part of a criminal  case being investigated by the committee. He is charged with abuse of  office and large-scale money laundering. A motion for his arrest has  been submitted to the court.
