ArmInfo. If Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan declares Armenia's plans to "get rich," then let him ensure it, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated in an interview with Vesti News Agency.
He was commenting on Pashinyan's remarks at a pre-election rally in the community of Garni, stating that the country is not afraid of high commodity prices if ties with Russia deteriorate, as the republic plans to get rich.
"I cannot comment on the statements of the Armenian leader. If he believes Armenia will get rich, let him ensure it," Lavrov said.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova previously reported that Russia had warned Armenia of the possible termination of the agreement on gas, oil products, and diamond supplies if Yerevan joins the European Union. The Armenian Foreign Ministry confirmed receipt of a letter from the Russian side.
