
ArmInfo.Armenia and the United States have agreed to cooperate in the fields of Armenian Christian heritage and museum affairs. Zhanna Andreasyan, Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport of the Republic of Armenia, and Carlos Campo, the President and CEO of the Museum of the Bible, have signed a letter of intent on cooperation.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport, the main goals of the cooperation are the promotion of Armenian Christian heritage, including plans to establish a permanent exhibition of Armenian Christian heritage at the Museum of the Bible. The agreement also envisions the launch of research initiatives, educational programs, experience-sharing projects, and other joint activities.
Minister Andreasyan highlighted Armenia's interest in expanding cooperation in museum management, digitalization, heritage preservation, and educational programs, particularly for young specialists and researchers. She emphasized the government's willingness to deepen cooperation by involving Armenian museums.
In turn, Carlos Campo, the President and CEO of the Museum of the Bible, thanked the Armenian side for their cooperation and noted that the signing of the memorandum would create broad opportunities for collaboration across various areas and establish new connections between the museum's experts and researchers.
According to the source, the Museum of the Bible opened in 2017 and has seen steady growth in visitor numbers year after year. According to available data, the museum welcomed approximately 800,000 visitors in 2024, double the number recorded in 2021.
