ArmInfo. "Go to the polls without hesitation, it's up to you whether you have a state or not." Artak Zakaryan, a member of the board of the Republican Party, made a similar appeal to the citizens of Armenia.
According to him, in the snap elections held on December 9, 2018, the "My Step" bloc received approximately 885,000 votes, or 34% of eligible voters. Approximately 52% of voters did not participate in the elections. In the snap elections of June 20, 2021, the "Civil Contract" party, led by Nikol Pashinyan, received approximately 688,000 votes, or 27% of eligible voters. Around 50% of voters did not participate in the elections. This party will likely receive significantly fewer votes in the June 7, 2026, elections than in 2021.
"And for its complete defeat and swift removal from power, an active stance of all voters is essential. If voter turnout had been high in 2018 and 2021, the Civic Contract would have received a low percentage of the vote and would not have had the opportunity to treacherously surrender Artsakh and seriously threaten Armenia. Dear citizens with the right to vote, remember that each of you will make a fateful decision. Not going to the polls is also a decision, but one that harms Armenia. Don't blame the Civic Contract voters or the rulers who are destroying the country if you choose to stay home. Just go out and vote against the reproduction of the current rulers," the politician wrote.
