ArmInfo. RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan accused the leader of the "Strong Armenia" party, Samvel Karapetyan, of collaborating with Russian intelligence services.
Speaking at a rally in the Lori region, the Prime Minister noted that the international press has presented irrefutable evidence indicating that the "Kaluga oligarch" is an agent of the Russian FSS.
Reputable international and Armenian media outlets are reporting information with substantiation that the Kaluga oligarch who has appeared in Armenia's domestic political life is, no less, an employee of the Federal Security Service. This means that the person who has arrived and is participating in Armenia's political processes is, in fact, a secret FSB agent. This fact has now appeared in the press, is circulating in the press, and the media are providing all the justifications. This confirms our assumptions, because just two days ago I said that the actions of a person who is introducing an issue that has never been discussed in Armenia-Azerbaijan relations can only be described as those of a spy. These people are making daily efforts to introduce an issue that has never been discussed in Armenia-Azerbaijan negotiations. They started out talking about 300,000, and now they've reached the figure of one million Azerbaijanis coming to Armenia. I can't describe this as anything other than the actions of an agent, a spy, because such an issue has never been discussed in Armenia-Azerbaijan negotiations. Why are these people spending millions to bring this issue and push it onto Armenia's political agenda? Pashinyan noted.
Nikol Pashinyan added that the Armenian people have the opportunity to prevent such actions. "To this end, we, the citizens of the Republic of Armenia, must join forces to prevent the three-headed war party, the spy war party, from crossing the threshold necessary to enter the National Assembly. I respect all our international partners, but, excuse me, sending agents here to engage in political activity and create spy networks is not a partnership. The fact that the Kaluga oligarch is an agent of foreign intelligence services means that the party he created is also an agent network, and every citizen who has learned this information today must make a choice: are they an agent or a citizen? Every supporter, sympathizer, member of this party, every staff member must make a clear choice, and I believe that the majority of them will choose citizenship, and for those who choose to act as agents, with all due respect to all international partners, the Republic of Armenia will come," Nikol Pashinyan concluded.
In turn, the leader of the Strong Armenia party, Samvel Karapetyan, answering a journalist's question to give a political response to publications about his personality and the accusations against him, said: "Don't pay attention."
