ArmInfo. Approximately 50 schools will close in the near future in the Shirak Province, according to a statement made by Anna Grigoryan, a member of the "Armenia" bloc, during a campaign rally in Gyumri.
She noted that this will create serious issues for the region's communities. "We believe that while building new schools is necessary, the old ones should not be closed. The existing schools must be preserved because a community cannot function without them," she said.
Additionally, the parliamentarian promised that teachers' salaries will be increased, and the current humiliating certification system will be transformed. "And we will do this, because education and security are our top priorities," Grigoryan emphasized.
