ArmInfo. The "Prosperous Armenia" party (PAP) strongly condemns any calls for violence, unconstitutional actions, or demonstrations, including those directed against or targeting the people of Artsakh. This statement was made by Iveta Tonoyan, press secretary for Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) leader Gagik Tsarukyan, in response to a scandalous video featuring masked men threatening Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in an alleged Artsakh dialect.
Tonoyan emphasized that such phenomena are entirely unacceptable and urged law enforcement agencies to uncover all circumstances surrounding the incident as quickly as possible and to hold those responsible accountable.
"If the law enforcement system chooses to, it can achieve this, as it possesses all the necessary resources and tools. Furthermore, it is crucial to dispel the growing public suspicion regarding the potential involvement of government circles in circulating this video. At the same time, we are convinced that no video, regardless of its content, can or should serve as a pretext for anti-Artsakh propaganda, domestic public hostility, or hatred—especially on the part of the current authorities," she added in her Facebook post. Tonoyan underscored that the Armenian people today, more than ever, need internal solidarity and responsible public dialogue.
Earlier, pro-government media outlets widely disseminated a video in which armed, unidentified individuals speaking the Artsakh dialect threatened Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and urged Armenian citizens not to vote for him in the upcoming parliamentary elections. The Investigative Committee of Armenia has launched a criminal case into the matter.
