Premier`s and his allies` behavior due to growing number of people  willing to participate in elections

ArmInfo.  The extremely inappropriate, hysterical behavior of Pashinyan and his allies in recent days is due to the growing number of people willing to participate in the elections. Political scientist and former member of the Armenian Parliament, Arman Abovyan, expressed this opinion on his Facebook page.

According to him, the reasons for the hysteria of government  officials, who are deliberately generating tension and conflict, are  obvious and stem from several fundamental factors. Firstly, as the  political scientist writes, we know that the authorities are  constantly receiving data from closed opinion polls, which clearly  show that they are failing to reverse pro-Armenian public sentiment.  People are simply rejecting the Turkish-Azerbaijani "peace" concept  promoted by Pashinyan.

In essence, people understand that the promised "peace" concerns not  Armenia, but exclusively "Western Azerbaijan."

Secondly, the number of people willing to participate in the  elections has increased sharply, which, in turn, practically  eliminates the authorities' chances of ensuring a significant  presence for the "Civil Contract" in the future parliament.

Given the above-mentioned circumstances, Pashinyan and his allies,  according to Abovyan, have decided to dramatically escalate the  situation by turning the election process into a field of vulgarity,  lies, and insults. In other words, they are turning the election  process into a stupid, hooligan-like, senseless, and "hilarious"  spectacle, simultaneously "cementing" their electorate and disgusting  normal but politically inert people with the election process itself.

At the same time, another absurd thesis is being actively  disseminated: that "everything has already been decided" and they  will restore their power anyway. However, the analyst believes that  current events show that Pashinyan and his team are failing to  achieve this, as we are witnessing a completely opposite public  reaction.

Furthermore, people who initially had no intention of participating  in the elections are, in response to this hysterical behavior on the  part of the authorities, deciding to go and, with their vote, put an  end to this "stressful, idiotic atmosphere" in which Armenian society  has existed for almost eight years.

Therefore, all those still debating whether to vote must draw their  own conclusions, unless, of course, they want to live in "Western  Azerbaijan," Abovyan emphasized.
