ArmInfo. Lawyer Varazdat Harutyunyan warns of the inaction of Armenian law enforcement agencies amid reports of students being coerced into participating in a campaign for current Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his "Civil Contract" political party.
The lawyer recalled that four days have passed since Wings of Unity Party leader Arman Tatoyan published a detailed account of the alleged crime - "coercion to participate in a rally" at an educational institution in the Armavir region by a member of the community council of elders from the ruling party.
"Criminal proceedings have not yet been initiated, and the Anti-Corruption Committee has not published a press release incriminating the Communist Party. Is this what free, transparent, and equal elections look like?" he asked.
It's noteworthy that law enforcement's response to so-called illegal actions by supporters of opposition political forces is lightning-fast.
