


ArmInfo. Former Hrazdan mayor Aram Danielyan is accused of illegally alienating community lands over many years at prices significantly below market value. The RA Prosecutor's Office reported this, distributing a video produced by RA Public Television.
According to the indictment, from 2002 to 2018, while serving as head of the Hrazdan community in the Kotayk region, Aram Danielyan alienated 12 land plots for his personal gain to individuals affiliated with him and his family members, without tender procedures and at prices significantly below market value. The largest of the plots, measuring 2,000 square meters, was sold for 3 million drams, while the market value at the time was 8.5 million drams.
According to the prosecutor's office, the community suffered losses of 26 million drams as a result of these activities. Charges have also been brought against Aram Danielyan's wife, two of his brothers, Myasnik Kostanyan, the head of the Hrazdan Municipality's Department of Territorial Development, Land Cadastre, and Urban Planning, and another employee.
Aram Danielyan and Myasnik Kostanyan are accused of abuse of office and document forgery, while Danielyan's wife, his brothers, and the municipal employee are accused of aiding and abetting crimes.
All six defendants deny the charges and have refused to testify. They have been placed under travel restrictions. The case has already been transferred to the Anti-Corruption Court.
