ArmInfo. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has dismissed allegations of government inaction regarding the release of Armenian captives held in Baku, shifting the blame toward the domestic opposition.
Speaking to reporters in response to an appeal made earlier today by the former Foreign Minister of Artsakh, David Babayan, from his imprisonment in Baku, Pashinyan reiterated that his administration is conducting "daily work" on the matter. He maintained that this work remains strictly confidential, arguing that publicizing details has historically proven counterproductive.
"However, I would also like to point out that the narratives used by the opposition political forces, which I call the 'three-headed parties of war,' do not contribute to resolving these people's issues. After all, their narratives are also heard in Azerbaijan," Pashinyan said.
According to the Armenian prime minister, the narratives promoted by the Dashnaks about the return of Artsakh do not contribute to the release of their comrades from Baku. "It is obvious that this narrative is harmful. We say the conflict is over, let's resolve the remaining issues in parallel," the head of the Armenian government said, assuring that the opposition's narratives are the biggest obstacle to this.
