ArmInfo. Two plots of land located in a park area will be returned to the Vagharshapat community of Armenia's Armavir region. The RA Anti-Corruption Court upheld the claim of the RA Prosecutor General's Office.
As noted in the supervisory authority's statement, on May 14, 2025, the Prosecutor's Office, acting within its authority to protect state interests, filed a lawsuit with the Anti-Corruption Court against the head of the Vagharshapat community, Echmiadzin Market LLC, and a third party, Karen Grigoryan (former mayor of Echmiadzin, son of the late General Manvel Grigoryan), the Cadastre Committee, and other individuals, demanding that the tenders held in 2015 be declared invalid.
By its decision of April 16, 2026, the Anti-Corruption Court upheld the Prosecutor's Office's claim. The decision invalidated the tenders for the allocation of two land plots with development rights, measuring 1,175 square meters and 587 square meters. As a result of the invalidation, among other things, the state registrations of land ownership rights in the names of individuals were also annulled.
Once the decision comes into force, the land plots will be returned to the Vagharshapat community.
