ArmInfo. In Armenia, people continue to be subject to fines. This was stated by Edmon Marukyan, candidate for Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and leader of the Bright Armenia party, during the election campaign in front of the Judicial Enforcement Service building on May 12.
"Citizens are being fined, their property is being confiscated, their assets are being seized, and there is no state to protect them," Edmon Marukyan stated.
Addressing citizens, he noted that June 7 represents an opportunity to stop this lawlessness. "I appeal to all our citizens. I want to tell you that on June 7, you have the opportunity to stop this horror and change this disgrace. This is when your bank accounts are no longer illegally frozen, your car, your property is no longer searched by this system. This system needs to be completely changed. Not reformed, but transformed," the politician said.
According to Marukyan, more and more money is being confiscated from citizens every year. "Financing citizens of the Republic of Armenia has become a planned source of income for the state budget of the Republic of Armenia," he said.
As a reminder, Armenia will hold its next parliamentary elections on June 7, with 19 political forces - 17 parties and two blocs - participating.
