ArmInfo. The current Armenian leader is trying to focus all his efforts on Artsakh, believing that this will pose fewer problems than if he were dealing with the Azerbaijani occupation of the republic's sovereign territories. This was written on his Facebook page by Tigran Abrahamyan, a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia from the opposition "I Have the Honor" faction.
On the one hand, as the parliamentarian noted, people understand that the Artsakh issue is simply inescapable; on the other hand, people are actively speaking out about the Azerbaijani occupation of the Republic of Armenia's sovereign territories and the ruling government's indifference. "Only from the outside might it appear that some part of society has forgotten or does not attach importance to capitulation, concession, or betrayal. But at a certain point, this will not only be expressed with great insistence but will also become a decisive factor," noted Tigran Abrahamyan.
As a reminder, according to statements by the Armenian authorities, including Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the Foreign Ministry, approximately 200 square kilometers of internationally recognized Armenian territory remain under the occupation of Azerbaijani forces. These territories were captured during several border incursions in 2021-2022 in the Syunik, Vayots Dzor, and Gegharkunik regions.
