ArmInfo. The "Fair Vote" observation mission, carried out by the "Federation of Youth Clubs" NGO (FYCA), will monitor the parliamentary elections scheduled to take place on June 7 in Armenia.
A statement received by ArmInfo noted that the Federation of Youth Clubs (FYCA) has been an active participant in civil society for many years, promoting youth participation in public and civic processes. Since 2003, conducting observation missions has been a key pillar of the organization's activities, aimed at ensuring independent and impartial monitoring of electoral processes.
"The upcoming elections in Armenia are a vital test not only for the political system but also for public trust. Transparency and fairness in electoral processes have remained among our organization's primary objectives since 2003. The 'Fair Vote' initiative is not only a monitoring mechanism but also an educational platform where young people gain practical skills in electoral law, observation ethics, and media literacy, contributing to the development of responsible and informed citizens," Sonya Hambardzumyan, head of the "Fair Vote" election observation mission, noted.
For the upcoming elections, "Fair Vote" plans to deploy hundreds of trained observers across various regions of Armenia. The observers' findings will be presented in consolidated reports, which frequently serve as essential analytical material for both local and international organizations.
During the elections, a hotline will also be operational, through which citizens can report electoral violations, pressure, or suspicious incidents by calling +374 10 588768.
