ArmInfo. Kristine Grigoryan, head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Republic of Armenia, agrees with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's assertions about the possibility of war in the event of a change of power in the country.
At the plenary session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on May 6, Kristine Grigoryan, responding to a question from Armenuhi Kyureghyan, a member of parliament from the opposition Armenia faction, found logic in the prime minister's statements. The member of parliament, in particular, inquired whether the head of the Armenian government's statement was made in accordance with the Foreign Intelligence Service's data.
Grigoryan responded by noting that if, during an election campaign, competing political forces begin to question the foundations of the peace architecture, this suggests that peace could be disrupted. Nikol Pashinyan's statements should be interpreted in accordance with this logic. In response, Armenuhi Kyureghyan suggested that the Foreign Intelligence Service has no information about the possibility of war in the event of a change of power, and that this was just another political statement by the Prime Minister.
According to the opposition parliamentarian, such statements are made when it suits the authorities, and there is no logic to be found in them.
