


ArmInfo. Turkey and Armenia have agreed to jointly restore the Ani Bridge. Turkish Vice President Cevdet Y?lmaz, who participated in the European Political Community Summit in Yerevan, wrote on his X account.
In Yerevan, Y?lmaz met with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. He was representing President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the summit and noted that the talks were comprehensive and productive, posting a photo from the meeting.
According to Y?lmaz, an agreement on the restoration of the bridge has already been signed. The document was signed by Turkey's Special Representative for the Normalization of Relations with Armenia, Serdar K?l?c, and Armenia's Special Representative, Vice Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Ruben Rubinyan.
The Ani Bridge (10th-11th centuries) is a historical architectural monument, that connects the banks of the Akhuryan River on the border between Armenia and Turkey. The authorities of Armenia and Turkey have agreed to jointly restore this centuries-old bridge, which served as a critical crossing along the Silk Road, as part of the normalization process.
