


ArmInfo.Arayik Harutyunyan, Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister of Armenia, held a meeting with Anthony Banbury, President of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES).
The parties discussed upcoming electoral processes, including local government elections, and emphasized the importance of continuing long-term and systematic cooperation. They commended the successful implementation of joint programs in Armenia since 2018, which are focused on strengthening democratic governance and developing reliable electoral processes.
It was noted that ensuring free, fair, and transparent elections remains a top priority for the government. In this context, the interlocutors pointed out that the 2026 elections are viewed as an opportunity to strengthen democratic institutions and bolster public trust.
