ArmInfo.  The European People's Party (EPP) urges Turkey to confront the  truth of the past and to engage in sincere steps towards reconciliation, as noted in a  statement issued on the party's Facebook page to mark the 111th  anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire.

" Today, we stand alongside the Armenian people in remembrance and  solidarity. We have a duty to uphold their memory with dignity and to  persist in the pursuit of justice. We urge Turkey to confront the  truth of the past and to engage in sincere steps towards  reconciliation, opening a path to a more peaceful and shared future,"  the EPP stated.
