ArmInfo. Very soon, the "Strong Armenia" party will assume great responsibility: it will ensure the country's rapid development. This was stated by Samvel Karapetyan, leader of the "Strong Armenia" party, who is under house arrest, at a meeting with his associates.
Before presenting the party's plan for the country's development, Karapetyan called for a formal statement on what they are inheriting from the incompetent current government. In particular, the loss of a second homeland, the occupied sovereign territories of Armenia by Azerbaijan, the "Yerablur" military pantheon, which has expanded severalfold as a result of the bloody war, the loss of trust from allies as a result of negotiations conducted with them in the language of blackmail, Armenia's transformation into a center of geopolitical clashes, and the presence of Armenian prisoners of war in Baku.
"Furthermore, our economy has been completely destroyed: 21% poverty, a public debt approaching $15 billion, the destruction of the Armenian diaspora's potential in Armenia's economic sphere, and the indifference of domestic investors due to law enforcement violence," the party leader added.
Karapetyan then outlined their intentions to ensure rapid development if they come to power. First and foremost, he stated, they intend to create a united and strong community, restore the role and place of the Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC), and prioritize justice, fairness, and humanism in the lives of Armenians. "And as we promised, we will have guaranteed true peace," the party leader added.
For his part, Narek Karapetyan, a member of the Strong Armenia party's board, presented a step-by-step plan for how their political force intends to ensure rapid economic development in the country.
Specifically, he outlined the programs they intend to implement in the near future. "Within two weeks of the parliamentary elections, a legislative initiative will be introduced in the National Assembly of Armenia exempting small businesses from turnover tax. This will create 50,000 new jobs over five years. Overall, we intend to create 300,000 new jobs, while Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is ready to open our country's doors to 300,000 Azerbaijanis," the party board member noted.
For medium and large businesses, Narek Karapetyan continued, they intend to ensure economic conditions that will make Armenia the most competitive among other countries in the region. "For example, localization programs will be created for medium-sized businesses in Armenia to develop Armenian products, so that our country will produce locally rather than import them. For Armenia's reindustrialization, we also need significant foreign investment, which we intend to secure in a very short time," said the party board member. In conclusion, the Strong Armenia party leader announced that during upcoming meetings, they intend to present new programs for developing Armenia's economy, which, according to Karapetyan, will be revolutionary for the country.
It should be noted that parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for June 7, 2026.
