The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam Suren Baghdasaryan met with Member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense of Viet Nam, General Phan Van Giang.
Ambassador S. Baghdasaryan congratulated General Phan Van Giang on his appointments, expressing hope that it will contribute to the further development of Armenia-Viet Nam relations. The Ambassador also emphasized the existing potential to expand cooperation between the two countries and elevate it to a new level.
Minister Phan Van Giang, in turn, expressed satisfaction with the positive dynamics of bilateral relations and conveyed his sincere gratitude to the Armenian people for the support and assistance provided to the Vietnamese people during its struggle for national independence and reunification in the 1950-1980s.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of issues related to the agenda of Armenia-Viet Nam bilateral relations, addressing political dialogue, the activation of inter-agency contacts, and mutually beneficial cooperation programs.
The interlocutors emphasized the importance of high-level mutual visits, as well as the deepening of practical cooperation between relevant institutions
